About Pre-packaged and Convenience Foods

The LIE: pre-packaged & convenience foods....are convenient. ⬇️

 

Convenience foods may be cheap and fast, but let's be real for a second. 

 

Most of pre-packaged and convenience foods are junk....even though some of it is even labeled 💓 "Heart Healthy".  God forbid.

 

Convenience foods (namely, Ultra Processed Foods, or UPFs) are loaded with ingredients that destroy your body:

🚫 Sugars

🚫 Refined starches

🚫 Additives (i.e., chemicals in the form of preservatives, emulsifiers, stablizers, texturizing agents, etc.)

🚫 Unhealthy seed oils (soybean, canola, corn, sunflower, cottonseed)

 

Consuming these foods causes chronic inflammation and all kinds of metabolic diseases.

 

Chronic inflammation is a silent killer and can show up in many differnet ways ... initially may show up as an expanding mid-section & weight gain, and over time, it may appear as:


  • Insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, full-blown type 2 diabetes.
  • Fatty liver disease.
  • Joint replacements.
  • Heart disease.
  • Cancers.
  • Gut diseases like inflammatory bowel disease and
  • SO MUCH MORE!

Tell me how convenient it is to deal with any of these conditions! Tell me.  


Tell me how convenient it is when you're lying on your back after a knee replacement or a cardiac stent procedure.

 

Tell me how that is convenient when you have to monitor your glucose daily and be on medication for life.

 

After years of carrying extra weight myself, and trying many different ways to lose weight, I finally learned the secret to eating to lose weight.   On my weight loss journey I've lost over 60 pounds and dropped 5 dress sizes...all by changing what goes into my body...by living a Faithful Eating lifestyle that honors the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

The best part?  I have energy.  No daily aches and pains.  I can comfortably sit on the floor to play with my infant and toddler grandchildren.  I feel healthier than I have in a very long time and am exuding a "30-years-younger" vitality!  (True story about looking 30 years younger... but that's a story for another day.)

 

When it comes to weight loss, though, there's some good news and some bad news.

 

The BAD news: the odds are stacked against you, Sisters....and more so today than at any other time in history.  

 

The GOOD news:  You don't have to figure this out by yourself.   You don't have to keep trying one thing after another ... only to lose some weight and then gain it all back plus a few more pounds.   

 

More GOOD news:  my weight loss journey was successful with 

  • No shots, 
  • No "fad diets", 
  • No counting calories or macros, and
  • No overpriced supplements designed to support the gut while continuing to eat "junk food".  

None of that! 

 

There is a simpler way, a God-honoring way that works...and lasts.  

 

I call it Faithful Eating.
